Find and fix water leaks — dripping taps, leaking toilets, burst pipes and the slow leaks behind a rising water bill. Most leak jobs start with a fault-find, so ask for the diagnosis and the repair to be priced separately.
107 local plumbers across Auckland can quote this work.
Businesses listed from public sources are shown with their Google rating, attributed. Verified pros appear first as licences are checked against the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board.

Leak work is priced by how long it takes to find the leak and how much has to come apart to reach it. A visible under-sink drip is a different job from a slab leak, so expect a fault-find charge before anyone can quote the repair.

Indicative ranges only — your quotes may differ with access, materials and the state of what is already there. Always compare itemised quotes for your specific job.
The usual signs are a water bill that jumps without a change in habits, a meter that keeps ticking over with every tap closed, warm patches on a concrete floor, or a musty smell in a cupboard. Turn everything off and watch the meter for 15 minutes — if it moves, book a leak detection rather than guessing where to open up.
If water is actively running where it should not be, yes — close the toilet or basin isolating valve if there is one, otherwise the main toby at the boundary. Tell the plumber what you shut off when you post the job; it saves them time on arrival and it goes in the notes.
Most NZ house policies cover the sudden damage a leak causes rather than the failed pipe or fitting itself, and many cover the cost of locating the leak. Ask your insurer before work starts and keep the itemised invoice — insurers commonly want the repair and the make-good listed separately.
Repairs to sanitary plumbing are restricted work under the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Act 2006, so they must be carried out or supervised by a PGDB-licensed plumber. You can check any licence on the PGDB public register, and we show register details on profiles where we have them.
There are currently 107 plumbers listed on Serproz covering Auckland, and any of them can quote leak repairs. Post the job once and compare the quotes that come back rather than ringing around.
You accept a quote and pay into SafeHold rather than paying the plumber directly. The money is held while the work happens and is released when you confirm the job is done — or by our staged dispute process if you and the plumber disagree. There are no lead fees for either side; a service fee applies only when a job goes ahead, and it is shown before you commit.
Pay into SafeHold, release when the job is done
Your payment is held while the work happens and released when you confirm it is complete. No lead fees for anyone — you only pay when a job actually goes ahead.
